Privacy Policy
Last updated June 8, 2026
Justice Prep (“we,” “us”) provides self-help tools to help people prepare for court hearings. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Justice Prep is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Information we collect
- Account info: name, email, and account type (client or lawyer). Lawyers also provide a bar number and licensing state for verification.
- Case content you enter: case details, timeline events, evidence descriptions, uploaded files, and statements.
- Usage data: basic, de-identified diagnostics to keep the app reliable.
How we use it
- To provide the features you request — organizing your case, generating documents, and running AI analysis.
- To enable lawyer review only when you share a case access code or list a case publicly.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
AI processing
When you use an AI feature, the relevant case text is sent to our AI providers (e.g., Google Gemini and/or Anthropic) to generate the result. Case-law references are retrieved from public court data (CourtListener). We instruct our models to avoid giving legal advice or predicting outcomes, and we do not use your case content to train third-party models beyond providing your result.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers that run the app (hosting/database, AI processing, payments). Today these may include Supabase, Google, Anthropic, CourtListener, Stripe, and Arize Phoenix (observability).
- Lawyers you choose — only the specific case you share via an access code or public listing.
- Legal compliance when required by law.
Your choices
- You control case visibility (private by default) and can revoke a lawyer's access code at any time.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Security & retention
We use industry-standard safeguards and keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. No method of storage is perfectly secure.
Children
Justice Prep is not intended for use by children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable).
